SB series multi-turn gear operators This gear operator series is made of cast steel and the optional material is HT. Bronze, D2 and QT nuts are available to fit in with the valve stem. This series is suitable for use on linear-motion valves including gate valves and globe valves, with the single-stage speed ratio varying from 2.3:1 to 71.1:1 and the torque from 220NM to 13500NM.

Product Description

Installation Instruction: Connect the bottom flange of the gear operator to the upper flange of the valve and slide the valve shaft into the drive nut. Tighten the flange bolt.

Operation Note: The valve can be closed by turning the hand-wheel clockwise and opened by turning the hand-wheel counterclockwise.

Manual Operation: Turn the handwheel or input shaft to open or close the valve.

Lubrication: When the gearbox leaves the factory, the sealed inner cavity has been filled with grease (at room temperature) No. 3 general lithium base grease. The temperature of -20℃~120℃, for the gear box used in special environment such as low temperature, high temperature, will use different grease, such as high temperature grease, low temperature grease. If it is necessary to install the oil cup on the gearbox, please indicate in the order.

Stroke Adjustment: The range of stroke adjustment can achieve 360° adjustment.

How do I manually open and close the valve using the gear operator?

The valve can be easily operated by turning the hand-wheel. Turn it clockwise to close the valve and counterclockwise to open the valve.

What type of grease is used in the gearbox, and does it support temperature extremes?

The inner cavity comes factory-filled with No. 3 general lithium base grease for standard room temperature operations. For extreme conditions (-20℃ to 120℃), specialized high-temperature or low-temperature greases are utilized depending on your environment.

What are the default casing and protection materials?

The gearboxes feature sturdy casting materials like LCB/LCC and WCB casing, combined with durable NBR sealing materials, bronze nuts, and stainless steel input shafts, achieving IP67 or IP68 grade protection.
